Pikachu Egg Tart


Ingredients

  • Pastry
  • 140 gram butter
  • 1/2 egg
  • 70 gram icing sugar
  • 200 gram flour
  • Filling
  • 140 gram sugar
  • 300 millilitres water
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 80 millilitres evaporated milk

1. Mix pastry ingredients into a dough

2. Then cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes

3. To make the filling add the water and sugar together. Without stirring, bring to a boil.

4. After the sugar has dissolved, let it cool.

5. Next add in the eggs and evaporated milk and mix well

6. After the dough has chilled dip one side of the dough in flour .

7. Then press it into the tins, the dough should be slightly higher

8. Before pouring filling into the dough, sift, then fill to about 80%. Base at 390 F for 15-20 minutes

9. To decorate like Pikachu, use a black quin for the eyes. Then use a mini white quin for Pikachu’s pupil

10. Use a large red quin for Pikachu’s cheek

11. Then use black fondant to make Pikachu’s nose and mouth
