Picadillo Stuffed, Ham Wrapped Crescent Jalapeños

Let’s get this party started!  Cheese stuffed jalapeños are always a hit at gatherings.  I’ve taken the popular appetizer to the next level by stuffing it with flavorful picadillo, wrapping it in a slice of turkey ham and wrapping it again with crescent dough.  It’s a meal all in itself!
The process might seem complicated but with the help of Sabra’s Roasted Garlic Salsa, the entire preparation took approximtely 15 minutes.  You might recognize Sabra from their delicious hummus.  But, yes, they also make salsas, guacamole, Greek-style veggie dips and Mediterranean salads such as babaganoush and bruschetta.
Sabra’s Roasted Garlic Salsa is so full of flavor that I’ve found so many uses for it.  I add it to soups, stews, over eggs and here, I’ve seasoned picadillo with it.  You save chopping time and gives your meals the perfect flavor with just the right amount of spice.   Yes, and of course, it’s great just as is, with a nice batch of tortilla chips.

Remove from heat and let cool.

Preheat oven to 350° F. With a pairing knife, cut openings on the jalapeños big enoug to remove seeds and as much of the veins as you can.

With a small spoon, stuff jalapeños with ground beef mixture.  Wrap a slice of turkey ham around each stuffed jalapeño.

Grease a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
Wrap a crescent triangle around each stuffed jalapeño.  Secure all jalapeño contents  with wrapped around dough and place them on the baking sheet.  Bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
Serve on a party tray and spoon the rest of the Sabra Roasted Garlic Salsa over jalapeños.
